State of No Nude Lust
A charming concept, and then one realizes that lust is epidemic and everywhere. The spice of life. I know one thing I've always been 'drawn' to, and that is color. We see it everywhere, in a changing and infinite array. Brilliant, subtle, and interactive in that a color placed against various other colors makes us perceive that color differently. There is a relationship, one thing affecting another. Lately I find myself attracted to warm, hot hues such as yellows, oranges and reds, with a lavender or turquoise thrown into the mix. Its a kind of a drug, as I need to have a fix how convenient to find my fix on the walls!

Sandy McCabe is a free spirit. She works in many disciplines. For the Old School exhibit Sandy created "Grand Mother's whispers #1 and #2" . and "Secret Garden" "India Silk". Grandmother's Whispers used technics learned from her mother and grandmother as she stained cloth and applied different embroidery, mending, and weaving methods. Her work Secret Garden involves mixed media with a delightful use of color. India Silk exhibits fine needle work on pieces of silk.
"I am inspired by nature. Working primarily with acrylics, I try to capture the essence of my subject. I use a experimental approach to my artwork, keeping my workflow fluid and unique. Through my artwork I attempt to bring new perspectives and encourage an appreciation for natural beauty. Ultimately, I just try to make cool things."
I have been painting most of my life. My art hangs at Rose Hue Gallery in Fruita and several other local venues are showing my work.
